02 · What it does

Six things. One job.

A registry that knows they live abroad

Visa series as a real field, not free text; province and city on the host country's own geography. A member who goes home stays on the roll as alumni.

Events, news, broadcasts

Publish an event, take RSVPs, get a headcount before booking the venue. Push a notice to the whole roll by email, with delivery tracked and unsubscribes handled.

Guides written for that country

The residence card, a bank account as a foreigner, a phone contract with no credit history, healthcare — plus remittance, shipping, the embassy and voting from abroad.

A photo archive that survives

Every event, tagged and permanent. Four years from now the photographs are still there, still findable, and still the community's.

Its own database

Not a row in a shared table. There is no tenant column in the schema, so one community's members cannot leak into another's. Leaving returns a full export.

Committee handover

Chairperson, secretary, editor, treasurer — four permission levels. When the committee changes, handover is an account change rather than a crisis.

8Weeks from signing to launch

Status: Live. Delivered branded, populated and trained, eight weeks from signing; billing starts the day it goes live.
Where: diaspry.ebenworks.co. Live in South Korea first; a host-country pack is built once (Korea, then the UK, Canada, the UAE) and reused.
Who it serves: Volunteer committees running diaspora associations of a few hundred to a few thousand people.
How it works: One deployment and one database per community — no tenant column in the schema. Statotech Systems runs the Zim-Korea deployment and leads delivery on new builds.
Limits: One live community: Zim-Korea Hub, since April 2026; Kenya-Korea and Liberia-Korea in build. Online dues collection is not in v1 — Pro tracks paid/unpaid manually.

What is Diaspry?

Diaspry is a community platform for diaspora associations: a branded public website plus a private member system — registry, events with RSVP, news, photo archive, email broadcasts, committee roles — delivered set up, branded and populated instead of handed over as an empty builder.

Whose product is Diaspry?

Diaspry is an Ebenworks product at diaspry.ebenworks.co, built with Statotech Systems, who run the Zim-Korea deployment and lead delivery on new community builds.

How is one community kept separate from another?

Every community is its own deployment with its own database. There is no shared tenant column anywhere in the schema, so one community's members cannot appear in another's. A community that leaves gets a full export of its database and its domain, on thirty days' notice.

Who is running on it today?

Zim-Korea Hub — the Zimbabwean community in South Korea's system of record since April 2026. Kenyan and Liberian communities in Korea are in build, with their country guides written and launch scheduled.
